Who We Are

As Steve’s time at the AOC as their FE-HE Climate Commissioner & Sustainability Consultant drew to a close earlier this year, his drive to provide support for the FE sector continues.

SS4FE is a brand new venture, yet has evolved from a love of education and the natural world.

Steve’s expertise comes from a wealth of experience and years of changing the curriculum landscape in the UK and beyond, having worked internationally. He was awarded an MBE in 2017 for his dedication to post-16 education and has always been recognised for his ability to make a difference in the community.

We're the first generation for which science can provide clear and overwhelming evidence of what we are doing to our planet. We have a duty to act now - collectively, collaboratively, with urgency and at pace to ensure that future generations can live on this planet. Climate change is an emergency."

Stephen Frampton MBE

We can positively impact, influence and inspire communities by improving the sustainability of the environment in and around education settings as well as shaping the knowledge and understanding of children and young people.

“In March 2023, Suffolk New College convened the New Anglia Green Skills Conference on behalf of the five FE Colleges in Norfolk and Suffolk. Steve was an excellent Chair for the Conference, bringing his insights from the wider FE sector, his enthusiasm and also a spirit of positive challenge to the event to encourage us all to do more. His passion for collaborative activity is infectious and inspiring, and we are enjoying a continuing collaboration with him as we develop our green skills work further.”
