SS4FE supports and encourages young people to become change-makers in society, embracing the challenge we are currently facing and raising awareness of what we can do to have a positive impact on our future. We signpost excellent resources and provide training around sustainability, working collaboratively and co-constructively with like-minded organisations who aim to empower the post-16 education sector.

One of our core values is to recognise and encourage the amazing work of students in the FE sector who are doing inspirational and critical work in the sustainability space. We want to further encourage and actively promote this brilliant work through our sponsorship of Green Student Awards.
SS4FE looks to further invest in setting up regional, partnership or even college based Green Sustainability Awards beyond the eight it is currently funding over the next five years, prioritising the green agenda in the education world.
Steve's knowledge and understanding of sustainability and his support given to help colleges mobilise in such a key but complex strategic priority has been invaluable. His ability to personalise support to what each college needs, and to engage staff, governors and leaders to overcome barriers to progress is exemplary."
